GlossMagazineOnline publishes news that focuses on pop-culture and is relevant to young, trend-setting African American women, ages 18-34. The publication strives to be THE online destination for news that matters to this diverse group of women. Whether she’s interested in what’s going on in Hollywood or Washington, wants to know the latest treatments being considered for diabetes, or if she’s searching for a deal on a little black dress, GlossMagazineOnline wants her to come to us FIRST! We want to make sure that the concerns of African American women that are all but ignored in other publications are answered in our virtual pages.
 
GlossMagazineOnline is also dedicated to spotlighting the accomplishments and works of those who are just beginning to make their mark in various industries including entertainment, business, literature and more. The magazine is focused on calling attention to those making a difference in their community and in the world.

What sets GlossMagazineOnline apart from other similar publications is its cutting edge approach to pop-culture coverage. 
The publication is interactive––the people who read it create its content. The staff that makes up GlossMagazineOnline consists of up-in-coming writers, photographers, poets, models and designers. This young, hungry aspect of the staff keeps the publication fresh and smart and fulfills a fundamental purpose of the magazine––to act as a forum for up-and-coming artists who need a platform to showcase their work.

Publisher, Editor In Chief: Publisher and Editor in Chief of GlossMagazineOnline.com (GMO), Tiffani Alexander came to Chicago in the fall of 2004 to pursue her Master's degree in Arts, Entertainment & Media Management at Columbia College Chicago. Tiffani earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of
 Maryland (College Park campus). She has worked for both Cygnus Business Media and Maher Publishing before embarking on her dream to start her own magazine. In addition to publishing GMO bi-monthly, Tiffani freelances, works as an editor on a legal journal in Washington, DC, and serves as Media Relations Director of Golden Creative Communications.

Managing Editor: Frances Moffett is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She is currently a PR Coordinator and Editorial Assistant for a not-for-profit organization and has written for a variety of publications, including Jet Magazine and The Chicago Defender. She is currently the Managing Editor of GlossMagazineOnline, located in the Midwest. In addition to journalism, she also writes poetry and short stories.

Creative Director: Anthony (Tony) Keith, Jr., originally from Washington, DC, Anthony is currently the Director of Penn State's cultural center. He has also served as the Assistant Director of the Multicultural Resource Center at UNC Charlotte. Anthony holds a Bachelors degree in Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Masters in Education degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Tony is a spoken word artist and poet and has performed in numerous places such as Tanzania and Los Angeles, showcasing how he uses his artistry as a mechanism for creating social change.

Editor: Christina McGairk holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Print Journalism from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. The Indiana native worked for Topics Newspapers and The Noblesville Ledger in Fishers, IN. before moving to Chicago in the fall of 2006 to attend Roosevelt University. Christina recently graduated with a Master's of Science in Journalism with a magazine concentration. She has also served as an editorial intern at Today's Chicago Woman Magazine, Ebony and Jet magazines.

Marketing Manager: Samantha Mitchell graduated from Columbia College Chicago, earning her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Public Relations. She is currently the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for Color Me P.I.N.K, Inc, a non-profit organization in Chicago. Samantha also freelances, does event planning, works part-time and enjoys motivating and teaching young girls about self-esteem and character.
