Naughty by Nature: Back Like They Never Left
Naughty by Nature is a Grammy Award-winning hip hop group who first came onto the scene in the late 80’s. They were originally called “Illtown,” but later changed their name after being under the influence of Queen Latifah. Their repertoire of hit songs include “O.P.P,” “Hip Hop Hooray” and “Jamboree.”
Hip hop duo Kidz in the Hall became the new faces in the hip hop industry in the early 2000s. They were first signed to Rawkus Records, the underground rap label responsible for introducing artists like Mos Def and Talib Kweli. Chi-Town native Naledge provides his unique lyricism in the group, set to the sounds of DJ/producer Double O, who hails from New Jersey.
G.L.C. was introduced to the music scene when he was featured on his good friend, Kanye West’s, single “Spaceship” from his debut album The College Dropout. From that single, Kanye West brought many blessings and audience attention to G.L.C. Also known as Gangsta L. Crisis, G.L.C had a feature on Kanye West’s sophomore album Late Registration, on the single “Drive Slow.” The single was also featured on a the hit HBO show, “Entourage.” He has released mixtapes with DJ A-Trak; (Drive Slow), DJ Geno; (I Ain’t Even On Yet), and DJ RTC; (Similar to the Letters). Now G.L.C. is ready for his upcoming album, Love, Life, and Loyalty, to drop soon.
